The kids enjoy using this app perhaps a little too much thanks to the ability to draw, share GIFs, and video chat with everyone on their approved contact list. Since we live a long distance away from each other this is a great way for them to stay in touch without worrying about about minutes depleting or mms charges. Great design and concept.
MM opened the door for me being comfortable letting my daughter begin to message friends. What was most helpful was my control as a parent. But over the last year my comfort and control are slipping. This morning my daughter reported 4 drawn images to the developer she felt were inappropriate.
How can she even see these?? She showed me they showed up in a BOT feed. Then, again this morning while perusing the app I watched a couple of videos.
I want to be able to disable videos, video chat, etc, I downloaded this app for my son so he could text me and I could text him while at different places and when he has Wi-Fi. Love how safe it is with being in IT Security. So I did my research and this app is one that is considered top 10 texting apps for kids.
After I read the reviews and read more about it, I thought I would try. Love that it is free and such a great idea and UI.
