I am on a respirator at times and Voice Access drains my speech. In addition to voice access from Google, there is also Bixby by Samsung, which also lets you control the phone, plus most programs using your voice, including turning on and off the phone, optimizing the phone itself, surfing the web, Etc.

At this time, I am unable to find info about Bixby with bluetooth devices, with the acception of Bixby specific wireless earbuds. Price for now, is unknown.

Hi, Here is a link about a device that may help you. You will need assistance setting it up. I'm not sure if the o6 on its own can manage messages with the companion app, as I've never tried. However, I will give it a look. It may however be a moot point, as the o6 itself is rather small. The belt clip accessory provides some stability, but the dial does take some dextarity to turn. I use mine with VoiceOver as a replacement for flicking through items over and over to help with carpul tunnel. When you hear your text message alert, say hey Siri, check text message.

After the message is read, you will be asked if you want to reply.

With WP when connected to Bluetooth headset such as my car when I get an incoming text message, Cortana will speak to me that I have a new message and ask if I want to read it or ignore. If I say read it, Cortana speaks the message and asks me to reply, etc. Is there a way to get Siri to initiate the dialog without me having to press a button?

When I am driving and receive a new text, I want Siri to break in and announce the new message without me having to press a button.

How to Monitor Text Messages On Someone Else's Phone

OP mentioned he'd like an option while he's driving. A lot of people take the opportunity during the drive to charge their phones.

Schedule service

Not that I am aware of. I assume you noticed you could reply to the message and dictate a reply as well. I have to unlock the phone to get some of that functionality. I'm not sure there is a way. I know exactly what you're asking. My previous phone was the Lumia , loved that feature, was flawless. Have yet to see it duplicated on either IOS or Android. Looks like I won't be switching quite yet though.

Developer Accounts

Really surprised this isn't an ios feature yet! Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

I'm having trouble however getting my phone to read my texts to me while connected to my car via Bluetooth. I have a Nissan Maxima I paired my iPhone with it but Siri doesn't read texts I receive. Does anyone know why?

It worked perfectly with my Nokia Lumia Siri, in and of itself, can read text messages. Having said that, whether or not your vehicle's Bluetooth function interferes with that ability, I can't say. The Voice feature in my car sounds like Siri, but it is not. Have you tried using the device's home button instead of the vehicle's voice feature button to have Siri read your text messages over the vehicle's speakers?

I'm beyond irritated that nothing has worked. I cannot use my fingers so it would have to be completely hands free. That wonderful robot that lives in our phones. I have an iphone 6s and it doesn't have the feature "show notification". Originally Posted by MDak Some messages not syncing Bluetooth range Lasted 13 months
